Time for Jack-O-Lanterns!

Last night we carved our pumpkin for Halloween. Andrew and I designed the pumpkin and then Brian did the manual labor part. Brian wanted a scarey "boy" pumpkin but I overruled him and he carved a happy cute pumpkin! It was a lot of fun and Andrew watched the whole time. Maybe next year I'll let him play with the pumpkin guts!

Sonoma

I pass these two homes every day on my way to and from work. I thought maybe everyone would like to see..

These crazy people ripped out all of their grass and turned their front
yard into a cemetary for Halloween. Oh, to have money to burn like that...
Here is a picture of my HGTV Dream Home! They were filming inside the house that day. Maybe the next picture I will get some of the film crew in it. I keep driving by taking pictures...I don't want them to think I'm a stalker!

While dad's away...

...Andrew and Mommy will play!

Brian took a long weekend vacation and went hunting up in Shasta with his friend's. He left Wednesday night and got back this afternoon. Andrew and I had four whole days to play! Thank you Oma for coming up and watching Andrew on Thursday and Friday. I know Andrew had a ton of fun and the house hasn't been that clean in a long time!

My mom came over a few times to play with Andrew and keep me company. She was very proud of the mohawk she gave Andrew after his bath on Friday night! I don't think Brian is going to let me hang out with her again anytime soon though. I think we bought every baby outfit we saw on Saturday when we were out shopping.

Today Andrew and I met our playgroup friends at the pumpkin patch. It was nice to catch up with the other moms and see the babies play.

5 months

Hey Little Man,

Wow, another month has flown by! This was a big month for you; you got baptised, went to your first pumpkin patch and got sick for the first time. You're getting more and more interactive as the days go by. You've mastered rolling over, grabbing and holding onto things, talking to anyone who will listen and sleeping through the night. (The last one is mommies favorite!)

As always, I love you more than words could ever express and the joy you bring to mommy and daddies life is immeasurable. You amaze me every day with the things that you do and I can't wait to see what fun stuff will happen this next month.

Love you!

Mommy

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Andrew is becoming quite the rolling champion. If they ever add this "sport" into the Olympics, Andrew would get a gold medal for sure!

My new house

Here is a picture of my new house:
HGTV is building their next Dream Home Giveaway house here in Sonoma. I have driven by it numerous times and it is amazing! Today I met with two of the producers of the show because they are going to be doing some filming here at the winery. After showing them around and talking to them about the house, I decided that I just HAVE to have this house. As soon as they start taking entries for the sweepstakes, I will be flooding their website with requests.

Here is a link to the house so you can all take a look at where I am going to live next year:

Thanks for sharing!

Unfortunately on Thursday night Andrew got sick. He was running a fever and had an upset stomach. A sick baby is by far the saddest thing I have ever seen. He just wanted to cuddle with Brian and I. The good news is by Friday afternoon he was back to his old self and feeling fine.

Well, Andrew must have already learned how to share because last night I spent a good portion of the evening in the bathroom and not in bed! Thanks so much mom for taking Andrew today and letting me have a mommy sick day.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Last Sunday, Paige, Michelle, my mom, Andrew and I all went to the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch. We had fun going through the corn maze and picking out pumpkins. The only bad part was we didn't find out until we got there that you can't take strollers into the Corn Maze. Never fear, we all took turns holding Andrew. We couldn't miss out and the Corn Maze!!

Michelle, me and Andrew

I guess Andrew didn't find the maze as exciting as we did!

Paige was our navigator. Amazing enough, we only took 1 small detour. (This is even more amazing if you have actually ever driven with Paige!!)

Andrew's Baptism

Andrew's baptism was on Saturday at St. Vincent church in Petaluma. Deacon John baptized Andrew and he did a great job. We were fortunate enough to have a private baptism for Andrew and then everyone came back to our house for some lunch and a party. Andrew was his usual perfect self and didn't fuss once.

Thanks Bill!

Thanks to Bill for teaching my husband how to play other people on Guitar Hero. As it was, he would play Guitar Hero for a few hours every couple of days all by himself. Now, he is waiting for people on-line to rock with him on Guitar Hero! I may never see my husband at night again.

Paige thinks it's sad we are sitting at home on a Saturday night waiting for people to play us on Guitar Hero. What is really sad is that Brian is playing while Paige, Bill and I are just sitting here watching him.

He just melts my heart

Picture this: It's 5:30am, dark outside, Andrew is up and wants to be fed and I'm dragging myself out of bed to go get him. We're sitting down, I'm still half asleep, Andrew's eating and after awhile I realize that he isn't eating anymore. I look down and he is just looking at me with the biggest smile on his face. It was one of those times that I know if he could talk he would have said "Thanks for getting up mom. You're the best and I love you!"

It's times like those that just melt my heart and make me so glad to be a mom.

Working on a Saturday

On Saturday I had to work because the winery was hosting their Italian Festival. Brian and Andrew came by at lunchtime to visit mommy and hang out for a little while. Then in the afternoon, my mom came to pick up Andrew so Brian could get some yard work done.

Karla and I had to work but it was better when Andrew came to visit!
