Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Halloween!  Tonight was SO MUCH FUN!!  Andrew was so excited for Halloween and was on his best behavior all night long.  Perhaps Halloween should be every night!  The day started with a party at Gina's.  When we got home, daddy decided we should carve our last pumpkin and Andrew was excited to help.  When we were finished, we had the Bottasso's and Wing's over for dinner and trick-or-treating.  Andrew and Sophia had a blast running up to the different houses and quickly learned to say "trick-or-treat."  Andrew made sure that Sophia, Trevor and himself all got treats and then we were on to the next house. 

Once we got home, I think Andrew had more fun handing out candy to the big kids.  I had to turn off the light once Andrew went to bed.  He was so excited he didn't want to go to bed while the trick-or-treaters were still out there.  I can't wait until next year!!

The Search for the Perfect Pumpkin....

Every year the holidays get better and better. Andrew is so excited for Halloween this year. He is going to be a pirate and he knows to say "trick or treat" when we go out on Halloween. He also knows that he is going to get candy and he says he isn't going to share it with me. We will have to work on that one! Today we went to a pumpkin patch with cousin Trevor. Andrew had so much fun running through the corn maze, climbing the hay tower, going on a tractor hay ride and going in the haunted house. (Note, Andrew went into the haunted house, turned the first corner, and came right back out!! He said he wanted to go in and realized really quickly that it was too dark.) Andrew and Brian spent time searching the patch for the perfect pumpkin and managed to find one they both liked. It was a great day and I can't wait until Halloween is here!!

Disneyland 2011

I was SO excited to take Andrew to Disneyland. Paige, Hayley and Ainsley were taking a long trip to LA so I invited myself down and off to Disneyland we went. Our first stop was Mickey's house and Andrew was in heaven!! As we were talking though the house, Pluto came through and Andrew got so excited. Next, we saw Minnie and every picture we got, Andrew is staring up at her. Next stop was Mickey and Andrew's reaction was priceless. As soon as we walked in, Mickey knelt down and Andrew ran up to him and gave him a huge hug! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.  The original plan was to just stay until the park closed at 6pm but we ended up going over to CA Adventure and staying until 8pm!  I don't know who was having more fun, the kids or Paige and I!

Andrew's friend from playgroup was at Disneyland the same day as us!  We met up with the Bronzan's and went on some rides.  The kids think we should have playgroup here more often!

I don't know who was more excited, me or Andrew....he was tall enough to ride the Matterhorn!  After the ride I asked if he liked it and he said "Yeah, that was fast!"  When I asked if he wanted to go again he said "Nope."

Sleepovers and Parties

Ali and Jared came down for the annual TKE BBQ. Before we went to the BBQ, Grevin came over to visit and play with the boys. We were only in the house about one hour but the boys managed to run around wild and crazy! We were able to get them to settle down for a quick picture:

After the BBQ, Grevin came back for a slumber party. The boys had so much fun and were so excited that they were going to play all night and morning. The night started with them in the same room but after 15 minutes of wild jumping from Andrew's bed to Grey's, I decided I should probably separate them so they would actually sleep. Jen warned me that Grey likes to wake up early. I don't know what she is talking about, Grey didn't get up until 7:45!! Maybe I have the magic touch. :)
