Tahoe Family Fun!

Andrew LOVES the snow and it makes me so happy!!  He had a private lesson with "Uncle Frank" and is now skiing by himself (well, kind of!).  I still have a hard time letting him go down the mountain alone but Andrew has no fear.  Perhaps that is why I do have fear!!  Andrew does great following someone down.  He will do red light (snow plow) and green light (straight) and he will turn by himself.  His favorite thing at the end of the run is to say "Let's go again!"  I can't wait until next year when he gets even more control and we can graduate from Bear Paw and Village Run.  :)

 Before lessons with Uncle Frank.

Uncle Frank going down the mountain with Andrew.  He skied down Village Run all by himself!

Scott, Michelle and Trevor joined us this weekend.  This is the best picture I could get of the boys.

On Monday Andrew went to ski school for the day.  The teacher said he did really well and loves the snow.

Following Daddy down to the condo.

While Andrew was in ski school, mommy and daddy had the entire day to ski!!

You would think after an entire day of skiing, Andrew would be tired. Nope!  He just wanted to play some more.

Happy 2013!

2013 has started off as a great year! The weather was absolutely beautiful so we invited our friends out to the winery to play croquet. The tasting room is closed on New Years Day so we had the entire winery to ourselves. I don't know what was more fun: playing croquet with our friends or living the life of the rich for a few hours pretending the winery was ours!  We played croquet, BBQ'd, took the kids on a golf cart ride and drank some great wine (I may be biased!).  We all had so much fun that we decided it needs to be an annual event.  I guess next year the tasting room will be closed on New Years Day again.  :)

Kate was a natural at croquet!

Andrew loves to see the barrels every time he comes out to the winery.  He wanted to show his friends too.

Sadly, the guys won in sudden death.  The ladies put up a good fight though!

Happy 2013!

New Years - Adults Only!

Since New Years Eve is now spent entertaining the kids and celebrating with London, we went out on the 30th with Jen & Zip for an adults only dinner. Zippy got into the spirit and wore his tux. He looked so handsome and was asked at dinner if he had just come from a wedding! Dinner was great and it was so peaceful not having to stop each conversation to tell the kids to eat, be quiet, sit still, etc. :)

New Years Eve!

It's time for European New Year's Eve. Once again, we celebrated in style with London, ringing in the New Year. The party was at the DeShazer's house this year and we had a ton of fun! We had great "European" food, poppers, sparkling juice for the kids and champagne for the adults.
