Hi Ho, Hi Ho...

It's off to work I go!

Well, I've been at work for 7 hours and 17 minutes now and so far so good. I've only called once to check on Andrew and Gina says he is doing great. I feel like a lost puppy at work though, I'm not really too sure what I'm supposed to be doing. Perhaps I need to venture into the tasting room and refamiliarize myself with the wines...

First week of daycare done

Andrew has completed his first week of daycare and he still seems to like it. Gina says that he is a happy baby all day long and just laughs and smiles at the other children there. He still takes his two naps while he is there but this week, he's added a third nap to his schedule. He must be having a busy day because every day when I pick him up, he is sound asleep by the time we get home and will sleep for about an hour.

Monday is going to be the big day when I have to go to work and leave him all day long. This week hasn't been bad at all because I knew I could go and get him anytime I wanted to. Do you think it would be bad to call in sick on my first day back?!

Spoil Bella Day!

Bella told me that she has been feeling like the unwanted step-child lately so today is Spoil Bella Day. I dropped off Andrew at daycare this morning (got out out the house at 7:15!) and then came back to spoil the puppy. She was just so excited to be in the house she could hardly contain herself! We played for a little and now we are off to the doggie day spa where she will get to play with other dogs and get a much needed bath. Don't worry Bella, mommy still loves you.

The new 90210

I just watched the new 90210. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the new show.

• Since when does the Peach Pit serve cappuccino's and have couches to sit on. The Peach Pit is greasy diner, not a posh/tendy coffee house. It's just not right.
• Did anyone else catch that the newscaster's last name was Zuckerman-Vasquez? Is she Andrea's daughter?
• Why did Naomi's mom bring wine with a screw top to Harry's house? You live in 90210, can't you afford wine with a cork?
• Who would bring Brenda back on the show? Didn't you read Tori Spellings book? Brenda was a pain in the butt and didn't get along with anyone.
• Seriously, do people really live like this!
  

Day 1 is a success!

Day 1 at Andrew's daycare was a success. I dropped him off at 10:00 and stayed until around 10:30. At that point Gina (his daycare lady) was looking at me like "get out of here, we'll be fine." I ran some errands, got lunch and came home to do chores. The whole time I was at home it felt like Andrew was taking a nap and would wake up at any time. At 2:00 I decided it was silly for me to sit at home alone so i went back and got my little man. He was smiling and laughing all afternoon when we got home so clearly he wasn't completely traumatized.

Tomorrow my plan is to pretend I'm going to work. I'm going to get up early in the morning, get Andrew and myself ready and try to be out of the door by 7:15am! Should we take bets to see what time I really end up leaving...

Today is Andrew's first day at daycare. I'm not going to drop him off until around 10:00 today so I still have 1 1/2 hours of him all to myself. I have all of his stuff packed up and ready to go, I'm just waiting for him to wake up for the morning. Once he is up, I'll get him dressed, we'll go on our morning walk and then off to daycare we go.
