The Hardships of Being Two

Being two is so difficult. The decisions you have to make are endless...

Should I spray Daddy with the hose?

Should I have a bubble bath?

What song should I dance to?

What toys do I play with next?

It's amazing Andrew can make it through the day with such stress.

Petaluma Fair

One of the best parts of summer (besides the BBQ's, nice weather, swimming, having fun) is the county fair! Andrew and I went with our friends Kate and Evan yesterday and we had a blast. The boys loves looking at all of the animals and they even rode on two rides! I think the highlight of the day for Andrew was eating his very first ice cream cone. The Clover booth always gives out free cones at the fair and I couldn't pass it up. I was going to share mine with Andrew but then Kate got Evan his own so I decided to follow her lead. Andrew was in ice cream heaven!

Mmmm, this is yummy.

Riding the Choo-Choo

Andrew is a very good driver!

Lightning McQueen

To say that Andrew loves the movie Cars is an understatement. He would be perfectly happy if we played the movie all day long every day. Brian and I know all of the words now and even Andrew is picking up on some. He says "Oh no!" when there is a car crash and he knows that Lightning McQueen says "KaChow!"

I ordered Andrew is own Lightning McQueen stuffed car on Amazon the other day and it came in the mail today. He is in heaven! He keeps looking at it and saying KaChow and driving around the house with it.

Family Fun Day!

Life has been crazy the last couple of weeks with work and school so we took the day to spend just the three of us. We started off Family Fun Day at Train Town in Sonoma. Brian had never been there and it had been at least 15 years since I was last there. With Andrew's love for trains, we knew he would have a blast.

This is what happens when you ask a high schooler to take your picture! Andrew barely made it in the picture.
Andrew's first ride on the Ferris Wheel.

Getting ready for the train to depart

Half way through the ride, the train stops at a little town and you can feed the animals. Brian showed Andrew what to do and then we let Andrew do it all by himself.

Andrew managed to find himself in jail but we bailed him out!

After the train ride, we took Andrew on the carousel.

Choo Choo!

This was the face when I asked Andrew to smile at lunch.

It was really hot today (90+ degrees) and Andrew had been such a good boy all day long, we decided it was time for an ice cream treat.

Yummy!
(The mean mommy that I am, I told the lady he only needed 1/2 a scoop)

After nap time, we took out all of the water toys and played all afternoon.

I guess Andrew had a good day. He couldn't even stay awake long enough to eat dinner!

Andrew's Dance Moves

Andrew is going to kill me one day for taking this video and posting it online! This is his favorite song. Wait until the end, he even starts singing!!

*Please excuse my dirty house. I just can't keep up these days.
